01 About

Nigeria's leading Responsible AI competition

Axia Tech Challenge is Axia Technology & Innovation Hub's flagship annual inter-school innovation competition. Since 2022, it has nurtured creativity and introduced young minds to emerging technologies.

Our Mission

Build a generation of responsible AI users, creators, innovators, and leaders who will shape Africa's technological future. ATC 4.0 moves beyond asking what AI can build to asking what kind of future AI should build.

  1. 1 Build a generation of responsible AI users and leaders
  2. 2 Promote ethical technology development from an early age
  3. 3 Foster critical thinking and responsible digital citizenship
  4. 4 Prepare young people for an AI-driven workforce

02 Why It Matters

The AI literacy gap

Students today interact with AI every day through search engines, social media, and generative tools — yet Responsible AI education has not kept pace.

Misinformation

Many learners can generate essays using AI but cannot identify misinformation or verify the accuracy of AI-generated content.

Privacy & Ethics

Students use AI chatbots without understanding data privacy, algorithmic bias, fairness, transparency, or accountability.

Intellectual Property

Students create AI-generated images and content but do not understand copyright, intellectual property, or responsible attribution.

Unintended Consequences

AI-generated misinformation, deepfakes, academic dishonesty, algorithmic discrimination, and job displacement demand ethical awareness.

03 Objectives

Seven goals. One mission.
